This has been a much better day for Larry. Tonight his blood pressure was 130/85, his color is back to normal as is his appetite. We are crossing our fingers that he might get to leave the hospital tomorrow.

I have told Larry of the emails that some of you have sent and he really appreciated them.

Thanks for the prayers and all three of us are looking forward to seeing everyone in September!

Hugs,

Larry, Bob & Judy

Hey guys,

Update on Larry:

Tonight he is resting comfortably, appetite has improved, his body is retaining fluid and more tests have been ordered to try and get to the bottom of the problem. It doesn’t look like he will be leaving the hospital tomorrow. Blood pressure was 168/108 this evening. Larry is in good spirits and I have shared the emails that you have sent. Please feel free to send a note to our email address and we will be sure Larry receives them.

This was to be a vacation in the “Land of the Sun” . . . so far it has backfired! Hope that he gets back on his feet soon so we can do a few fun things before he returns to Michigan on the 12th.

Hugs,

Judy & Bob Williams

Larry attended Scott Taylor's Memorial Service on October 17, 2009. He said the surgery went well and they got all the cancer out. His voice was weak, but spirits were high.

  10/30/09:
Per Larry's daughter, Jill. She said her dad did have surgery on Wed. Larry had a cancerous growth on his Esophagus-the surgery went well-and the Dr. was able to remove all the cancer. Larry is at the U of M Hospital in Ann Arbor. He should be coming home some time next week.
Please continue to pray for Larry.

9/29/09:

Larry is to have Cancer Surgery tomorrow (September 30th) at the University of Michigan Hospital. He is expected to be in the hospital seven to ten days. Please prayer for him.
(per email for Bob Williams)

Larry was in Sparrow Hospital in Lansing in late June, 2009. He had a visit by some of the classmates who had gone to the Williams visit at DeLuca's - June 27th:
Jack Maloney, Sue (Shaver) Underwood, Larry, Sandy (Lortie) DeView, Bob Williams, Judy (McCourt) Williams and Noella (Garmyn) Maloney.

Larry had a heart cath on Wed., July 1. He had a stint re-opened that was 90% blocked. He has also been undergoing radiation treatment for esophageal cancer. That is still ongoing, but the prognosis is good. Please keep him in your prayers.
