Phoebe, Martin, Rosemary, Elizabeth, Bianca

The last forty-five years have been rich with many blessings, but the greatest blessing has been my children. I have four beautiful children, Bianca (42), Elizabeth (40), Martin (30), and Phoebe (28) and four wonderful grandsons, Alexander (15), Patrick (13), William (13), and Christopher (9). The greatest sadness of my life was Marty's death two years ago from acute myeloid leukemia, but I am very thankful that God shared him with me for twenty-eight years.

In addition to my children and grandchildren, education has been the passion of my life. Currently I teach ninth and tenth grade English at Eastern High School in Lansing. I have been privileged to teach many students a variety of subjects, from math to English, including special education and general education, at many levels, from college to elementary, over the years. My girls are all teachers like their mother. I am also a lifelong learner (or what used to be called a "professional student"). I have a bachelor's degree and three master's degrees, and I am currently working on my Ph.D. in K-12 educational administration at Michigan State University. I still have requirements to complete, but I expect to be "Dr. Fox" sometime next year.

I have not been very successful in my love relationships. I was married twenty years to my first husband and ten years to my second. After two wrenching divorces, I married my third husband, Ed Youmans, three years ago.

I am planning on attending the reunion, and I cannot wait to see my classmates again. I appreciate how special and precious it is to be a member of the Msgr. J. W. O'Rafferty High School Class of 1965!
